There are some systems on the market that work very well, however they make a huge amount of noise, so consider that when making your purchase. One of the main things you want to insure in purchasing an air purification system is that it is affordable to maintain. Many of the machines that use filters need to have them changed on a regular basis to work properly. There can be a huge hidden cost here. Make sure to price the filters before considering air purifiers. Also check to see how large of an area the air purification system is meant for. They have similar ranges to air conditioners.

Be sure to know what you are getting. Browse around on the internet before you make a purchase, even if you plan on purchasing at a store. Sometimes a reviewer may tip you onto an issue with a purifier that the manufacturer neglected to mention, such as popping noises. Once you get your purifier setup, give it some time to work. I have noticed that although it immediately starts filtering and cleaning the air for you, air purifiers tend to take a few days before you really begin to feel the health benefits.
